The Path of Return

Program Notes:

The Path of Return is based off of excerpts from the Tao Te Ching. Although for voice, the piece does not incorporate words directly into the music but instead attempts to understand the meaning of the Tao through music in a variety of different ways. Each movement focuses on a different aspect of how the human voice functions to create a unique sound world for the text involved.
